We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Nurse Practitioner to execute the following job duties with our outpatient Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary population.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intra-departmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum. from preventative and acute care through discharge.
  • Evaluating patients (includes: chart review, performing history and physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, reviewing results and reporting to the Physician as needed.
  • You will provide outpatient services to Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) patients, coordinate activities of outpatient service, including facilitation of care coordination/patient education, timely documentation of patient progress notes, after visit summaries, and CMS required care coordination notes.
  • You will coordinate communication of patient ADT and surgeries with referring and collaborating MDs.
  • You will develop and implement patient management plans and assist in provision of continuity of care.
  • The Nurse Practitioner serves as a patient advocate throughout the care process and represents the medical center at regional and national meetings/conferences.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s of Nursing Degree (MSN) required
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required

License/Certification:

  • Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License required
  • National certification as an NP required.
  • Current ACLS or BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • DEA license required.
  • AGACNP preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Experience with hepato-pancreatico-biliary patients desired
