What you will be doing in this role:
The Compliance and Revenue Integrity Supervisor is responsible for the daily planning, organizing, assignment and supervision of the operations for Compliance and Revenue Integrity department to meet the needs of all customers and support CS Health System. The Supervisor serves as a liaison with health system providers and multiple teams across the health system as appropriate and promotes maximum growth and development of each employee. The Supervisor reports to the Manager of Compliance and Revenue Integrity. The Supervisor is responsible for contributing to the overall achievement of Compliance and Revenue Integrity Department mission to respond timely and accurately to support all inquiries and for the PB and HB sides of business while partnering with both internal and external customers of Cedars-Sinai. Primary duties include:
- Manages staff and staffing requirements to include transfers, promotions, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, salary adjustments, and overtime allowance.
- Participates and leads discussions regarding annual performance reviews as well as performance issues ad hoc.
- Assures that the CRI Team maintains a consistent deliverable to customers by serving as a role model with consistent focus of customer relations, providing feedback regarding positive and negative customer comments and participating in customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Maintains positive work environment while delivering appropriate staff education in order to promote an environment that fosters self-directed staff. Offers cross training opportunities between hospital and professional billing employees as appropriate.
- Assumes fiscal responsibility for the department including participation with budget preparation, revenue recovery opportunities and reporting of financials to CRI Leadership.
- Ensures ongoing staff compliance with established CRI Policies and Procedures as well as process improvement workflows and lean initiatives to facilitate process improvement activities on a quarterly basis.
- Responsible for the coordination of CRI staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for ongoing daily operations.
- Interfaces with departments within Cedars Sinai Health System and outside vendors.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or another relevant major is required. Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of billing and collections or government audit or revenue cycle experience required.
- Certified Professional Coder preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
