What you be doing in this role:The Sr. Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for the daily planning, organizing and supervising of the operations for assigned areas, in order to meet the needs of all customers and support Medical Center philosophies. The Supervisor assumes fiscal responsibility through participating in unit budget preparations, serves as liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes maximum growth and development of each employee, participates in strategic planning, both long and short terms and assures patient advocacy. The Supervisor guides staff in meeting customer's needs consistent with the Medical Center's philosophy, mission, vision and strategic plan. The Supervisor is responsible for contributing to the overall achievement of Patient Financial Services goals and objectives of Accounts Receivable days not to exceed 75, minimum monthly cash collections of $47 million and aged Accounts Receivable not to exceed 10% of total Accounts Receivable.
The Sr. Financial Services Supervisor (Revenue Cycle Training & Quality Review) Patient Services will work under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Support Services (RCSS) Training and Professional Development Manager to develop, implement, and ensure success of the Epic ADT, Cadence & Prelude system training program supporting patient services operations. The supervisor, under the direction of the manager, will be expected to incorporate Epic build updates impacting Registration, Financial Clearance, Customer Service and Access workflow design into training materials and facilitate delivery of impacted operational users. Engage in system build impact discussions and offer feedback to EIS for up-to-date training environment. Ensures training team incorporates updates of new system changes into training materials, job aides and any other supporting media. Coordinate necessary onboarding, quality feedback and ongoing annual training sessions to meet the business needs of the operational teams supported within patient services pillar. Ensures system changes and supporting training material is communicated to business unit owners as needed. This role actively supports the development of eLearnings, job aides, and any media applicable, as advised by the Training Manager. The Supervisor will assist the RCSS Training & Development Manager with the overall day-to-day staff management activities of their team and contribute to staff yearly performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or another related major preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of healthcare delivery system experience with knowledge of ICD-10 coding, charge master lists required.
Strong customer service focus and excellent communications skills.
