Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier healthcare institutions, continues to expand faculty in the Department of Neurology. We are currently seeking an expert in Memory and Healthy Aging to join an exceptional group and contribute to enhancing a nationally recognized clinical and academic department. Cedars-Sinai is a busy center for treatment and trials in memory disorders, and this faculty member will support the enhancement of the dementia risk reduction program, memory evaluation clinic, and outpatient Neurology Clinic at Cedars-Sinai. We are open to various specialties including Neurology, Geriatrics and Internal Medicine – the ideal candidate will have an interest in prevention, aging, risk reduction, dementia and Alzheimer's. There will be clinical responsibilities in the Department of Neurology including patient care, academic activities, patient education, staff education, and research. 

Within a multi-disciplinary environment, the incumbent will actively integrate and coordinate Neurology services throughout the Health System, including but not limited to the Departments of Medicine, Laboratory and Pathology, Neurology, Imaging and Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. 

Programmatic activities will include:

Academics/Research 

  • Maintains an active clinical research program within the area of memory disorders, disease prevention, and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD).
  • Assists in the recruitment, reviewing and selection of fellows, establishment of research and clinical components of the training program, and the supervision of fellows.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with other Medical Centers around the country ensuring leading edge clinical research in the program. 

Teaching             

  • Administers teaching activities within the Neurology program, including teaching rounds and lectures with the Departments and other affiliated institutions. 
  • Works with the residency and fellowship directors to optimize Neurology training.

Our compensation philosophy:

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.  The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package. 

Pay Range: $280,900 - $487,400 Total Cash Compensation (Depending upon specialty of physician.)


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1.           Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.

2.           Board Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or recognized equivalent. 

3.           Completion of accredited Fellowship in Behavioral Neurology or Geriatric Medicine preferred.

4.           Unrestricted California license as Physician. 

5.           CSMC Medical Staff Membership.

6.           Commitment to developing and fostering a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care. 

7.           Demonstrated competence in continuous quality improvement processes. 

8.           Evidence of exceptional academic, clinical, and professional accomplishment. 

9.           A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care and administration.

10.        Leadership experience preferred.
