What will you be doing in this role?
The Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries. This individual will perform budget to actual variance analyses on a monthly basis for their assigned accounts prior to scheduled meetings with General Accounting Management. The Financial Analyst will also help address inquiries and requests received by the General Accounting Department from within and outside of the organization. You will:
- Play a key role in the month-end close process.
- Prepare both standard and non-standard journal entries to record transactions impacting the Medical Center and its affiliates.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations including cash and fixed assets accounts on a monthly basis.
- Investigate budget to actual account balance fluctuations on a monthly basis.
- Communicate with other departments to investigate and resolve accounting issues and inquiries.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or economics required.
1 or more years accounting or related experience required.
Must be detail oriented and be able to prepare various work products from the perspective of a reviewer.
Must have strong computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
