The New-Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Residency Program is a full-time employment opportunity. The program lasts approximately one year and consists of 13 didactic and interactive workshops spread throughout the year. Also coordinated into this program are eight weeks (24 shifts) of precepted clinical orientation. You will be supported by unit leadership, educators and advanced practice nurses during your time in the program.
Job Summary:
A Clinical Nurse I (CN I) is a novice with less than one year of nursing experience who provides nursing care in an effective and safe manner to a select group of patients and families, carries out established nursing regimes, and plans of nursing care under the mentorship of a preceptor or other designated RN.
The scope of responsibility, duties and accountability at the facility department and position levels including knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skills vital to the position consistent with the Nurse Practice Act. Nursing job duties are to meet the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, The Joint Commission and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.
This nurse may also be re-entering nursing after being out of acute care nursing for five or more years. Unless is an internal hire who has progressed to RN licensure, a BSN or higher nursing degree is required to participate in the nursing residency program.
Qualifications
Requirements to qualify for the New Grad RN Residency Program:
- Education: Graduate from a state accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACS WASC) within the last 12 months; ADN, BSN, MSN in nursing with a 3.0 nursing GPA or above by the application date.
- Licensure: Valid California Registered Nurse license by the application date
- Certification:
- ACLS required
- Experience: You have less than nine months paid registered nurse experience on the application date.

We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
