What will you be doing in this role:

The Digital Technology Architect for our Consumer Digital Innovation team is responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of innovative solutions within our healthcare technology ecosystem. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the architect will architect solutions that align with our business goals and scalability requirements. This individual will play a key role in shaping our technology strategy, evaluating new and emerging technologies, and driving continuous improvement in our system architecture. As the steward of our current and future system architecture, the Architect will ensure scalability, security, and interoperability as we evolve to meet the changing needs of our healthcare organization.

  • Develop architectural designs and technical specifications for integrating ancillary applications with primary systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.
  • Design and architect integration solutions for bringing together disparate systems, applications, and data sources to achieve seamless interoperability.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, design principles, and coding guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and maintainability across integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, info-security and engineering teams to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions that support seamless integration and high availability of applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to design and develop full-stack, patient facing web and mobile applications, seamlessly integrating with Epic EHR system through open-source technologies.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, conduct PoCs for feasibility, and implement innovative ideas, technologies, and frameworks based on PoC results.
  • Analyze business, clinical, and technology environments to recommend IT solutions.
  • Explore and integrate new frameworks and technologies for enhanced capabilities.
  • Streamline deployment processes, build CI/CD pipeline, ensure scalable and reliable infrastructure for optimal performance.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, conducting regular security reviews and audits to address vulnerabilities.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate application performance metrics, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Establish auditing procedures for system and data integrity, coordinating post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in performance, reliability, and functionality. 

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

Ten (10) plus of experience in software engineering in a complex multi-platform environment. Experience should show progression in complexity of projects over time. 

Three (3) plus years of experience as Solution Architect with a focus on Restful API, DevOps, Web, and Mobile App technologies.

Experience architecting solutions in a cloud-native context (AWS).

Deep expertise in diverse technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, React.js, Python.

Hands-on experience with DevOps technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.

Experience with event-driven applications using queues, service bus, and other related patterns.

Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms, middleware solutions, and API management tools.

Experience in healthcare organization with deep experience in Epic FHIR and Proprietary API is preferred.

Architect-level experience with Adobe AEM and knowledge in AI technologies is a plus.

Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools, with experience in breaking down epics and user stories for iterative delivery.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs.

Demonstrate expertise in software development methodologies, project management, systems analysis, and adaptability to rapidly changing technology for evolving business needs.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making and communication skills. 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline required.
