Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our Radiologists & Imaging Specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Summary of Essential Duties:
- As an Imaging Scheduler, you will be responsible for all aspects of scheduling Imaging patients and supporting our CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Vascular, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy clinics.
- The scheduler will work closely with physicians, techs and NPs.
- Obtains clinical information and screens for exam appropriateness.
- Using critical thinking skills, they make judgment calls and involve the radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary.
- Interacts with office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments; coordinate anesthesia; verify orders; provide preparation information; obtain lab results, history and physicals, and written orders.
The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two years of college or comparable level of education and experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in psycho/social, marketing disciplines preferred
Experience:
- At least 2 years experience required in a fast paced and complex environment where critical thinking skills are necessary
- Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable
- Windows based PC experience required
