Job Description

This is a hybrid, per diem position with a significant portion of the role performed outside of the office attending graduate fairs, recruitment events, and other academic outreach activities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

The Academic Outreach Coordinator will independently research and identify relevant outreach opportunities, develop and manage an event schedule, coordinate participation, maintain outreach records, and communicate upcoming activities and outcomes to the HSU team. The role requires regular local travel within the Los Angeles area and flexibility based on the timing and location of scheduled events.

The Academic Outreach Coordinator for Cedars-Sinai Health Sciences University (HSU) supports student recruitment, community engagement, and outreach initiatives designed to expand prospective student pipelines and strengthen institutional visibility. This role serves as a key representative of the HSU, building relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and internal stakeholders to support enrollment growth and outreach objectives.

The Academic Outreach Coordinator represents the HSU at recruitment events, information sessions, community outreach activities, and partner engagements. Responsibilities include managing prospective student communications and follow-up activities, supporting recruitment campaigns, coordinating outreach initiatives across Cedars-Sinai departments and external partners, and maintaining accurate engagement data within customer relationship management (CRM) and student information systems.

This position collaborates closely with admissions, marketing, academic leadership, and community partners to develop and implement data-informed recruitment and engagement strategies that advance HSU enrollment goals and strengthen community partnerships.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, education, public health, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment, outreach, admissions, community engagement, higher education, healthcare education, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project planning, event coordination, supporting outreach activities, recruitment initiatives, or a related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Database management: Experience tracking contacts, outreach activities, and engagement using HubSpot, Maestro, or similar database/CRM systems.
• Data analysis and reporting: Experience analyzing response rates, attendance, and enrollment data using Excel and/or reporting dashboards.
