Full time general surgery / acute care surgeon wanted for a growing inpatient surgery service as part of a larger general and subspecialty group.
Employed Inpatient surgicalist model (all shift work no additional call)
- - Covers two ~300 bed hospitals only 10 minutes apart. No highway driving needed.
- - Bread and Butter General surgery. (Appys, Choles, SBO, Diverticulitis, etc.)
- - No trauma.
- - Specialists / Partners available to take assist with subspecialty consults (Cancers, IBD, Paraesophageal hernias)
- - Specialists / Partners available as surgical assists (setup for success!)
- - State-of-the-art hospital and medical specialties (excellent GI, IR, and ID)
- - Active hospitalist programs and separate ICU teams to assist with medical management.
- - No outpatient follow-up required but can be arranged if interested.
Schedule:
- 1 week ON, 1 week OFF.
- During the week on, you have 3 days (full 24hrs) on call. The other 4 days are for cleanup.
- Round on your consults only.
- Sign out remaining patients at the end of the week.
- Completely off during the OFF week
- Average ~8 consults & 4 surgeries / 24hr period
Shareholdership avialble after 2 years.
Our compensation philosophy:
We offer a competitive total compensation and benefits package to our physicians. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Pay Range: $331,966-$532,590 Total Cash Compensation.
Qualifications
3-5 years of practice experience
Board Certified in General Surgery or Board Eligible and within 3 years of completion of training
Proficient with Laparoscopy (Robotics available)
