Job Description

The Jim and Eleanor Randall Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai is seeking Plastic and Breast Reconstructive Surgery Faculty candidates who are eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. This position will be responsible for a breast reconstruction portfolio at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.

The Division of Plastic & Reconstruction Surgery is in a rapid growth phase, servicing multiple primary surgical specialties with complex wound management, reconstruction of the head & neck, truck and extremities, peripheral nerve reconstruction, lymphedema management as well as pediatric plastic surgery. We are affiliated with both UCLA and USC, hosting residents, fellows and students from multiple institutions. We have a continuous presence of Cedars-Sinai surgical residents on the service from all primary specialties. We encourage our faculty to think and practice both independently and collaboratively. Academic development of the faculty is central to our mission.

Our compensation philosophy
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.  The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.

Pay Range: $450,000 - $600,000 Total Cash Compensation.


Qualifications

•    Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
•    Board Certified (or eligible) in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
•    Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted California license as Physician and Surgeon.
•    Tarzana Medical Center Medical Staff Membership, Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff Membership and meet the eligibility and credentialling requirements of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation.
•    A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care and administration.
•    Demonstrated expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery with a commitment to developing and fostering a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to teaching, patient care, and administration.
