Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Intervention Technologist I includes technologists who assist physician in performing Radiologic Interventional procedures that may range in complexity depending on the clinical area. Performs exams relative to patient population. May transport medications from the delivery area to an authorized imaging area. Ensures that the room is functioning properly, stocked and prepared for various assigned procedures. Exercises cultural competency in providing patient education. Responsible for maintaining a safe environment and identifying and reporting any safety concerns.
- Performs Radiologic Interventional procedures utilizing approved protocols per standards of practice for safety, speed, organization, precision and accuracy based upon the department’s accrediting agency and/or department guidelines for exam protocols, adhering to department safety, radiation safety, and productivity standards.
- Scrubs, monitors, assists and circulates safely and timely; supplying necessary equipment and performing vascular site management, while supporting FDA approved and clinical research procedures
- Prepares and administers contrast and follows department procedures and guidelines in handling of contrast to comply with all safety requirements. Observes radiation and laser protection to regulatory safety requirements.
- Operates, calibrates and maintains imaging equipment and accessory instruments used in exams. Recognizes and reports defective equipment immediately and marks equipment as “out of service”.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and other department/organizational committees, such as The Joint Commission, safety audits, turn around time (TAT) projects, and customer service.
- Provides patient and family education, specific to age and demographic population as appropriate.

- Master’s: MSN, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physical Therapy doctorate.
- Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of JRCERT accredited radiological program. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited radiological program
License/Certifications:
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - R.T. (R) (AART) (required)
- California Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with Fluroscopy (required)
- Vascular Interventional Radiography or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (preferred)
Experience:
- Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues

Our compensation philosophy
We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
