Our Emergency Department (ED) has 20 patient beds and sees on average 100 people a day. There are Registered Nurses, Break RNs, Charge Nurses, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners on this cohesive multidisciplinary team. Our emergency medicine specialists are dedicated to providing comprehensive, leading-edge emergency care to a diverse population.

Position Summary:

As a Charge Nurse in our ED, you will provide care to an assigned patient population in accordance with established protocols and multidisciplinary plan of care. You will utilize independent, dependent and interdependent interventions to restore stability, prevent complications and achieve and maintain optimal patient responses for all patients though centered/patient valued care in our Emergency Room (ER).

    • Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.
    • Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization. This program is for attaining the following degrees:
      • BSN, MSN and other health related degrees 
      • Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • BSN preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Valid CA Nursing License
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years ED experience required
  • Prior experience as a Charge RN or Relief Charge strongly preferred
