The Associate Director, Facilities Operations is responsible for the daily, effective operation and management of all MDRH facilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Works collaboratively with the Director for the daily twenty-four (24) hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations of facilities and ensures safe, efficient operations.
- Clinical Engineering oversight: contract compliance, quality, accounting and budget. Policies and procedure for BioMed/Clinical Engineering.
- Help develops and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and the plant operations. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements.
- Responsible for budget management, labor, variance reports, supply cost management, and prioritization.
- Collaborates with senior management on process improvement, teamwork, communication, and problem solving for service coordination.
- Collaborates with all major collaborators to achieve efficient operating conditions.
- Leads all aspects of renovations, modifications, and collaborates with FDPC for new construction. Works with engineers and architects to address mechanical and building system deficiencies.
- Provides space planning options and alternatives on drawings and floor plans. Provides recommendations on applying available space to meet the business needs.
- Manages efficiency through work order volume, completion rates, resolves barriers to completion, and assigns staff to support.
- Leads QAPI projects, monitors performance, develops team, optimizes processes. Benchmarks for performance tracking.
- Holds huddles and meetings with staff to maintain engagement and efficiency. Develops employees to meet ever changing proficiencies and serve the growing demands of the facility. Coordinates educational opportunities and in-service education for staff.
- Manages contracts for preventative maintenance of critical utilities and facility operations.
- Holds vendors accountable for high reliability, safety, and scope of work.

Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED- minimum
- Bachelor's Degree- preferred
Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience leading and managing people, including selecting, developing, motivating and retaining people, required.
- Three to Five (3 - 5) years of experience working in building and facility operations, preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience working in building and facility operations in a Healthcare setting, preferred.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
