What will you be doing:
The Timekeeping Services Associate is a specialized position where the problem-solving techniques require an in-depth knowledge of current payroll practices and regulations as well as the HR policies. Must handle the research, processing and communication for all intake tickets submitted from employees, managers and other customers bringing their issues to resolution. It is critical for this role to be able to determine when an inquiry must be advanced to the core Payroll Team for timely handling and resolving these issues. This role must have excellent communication skills, work with little supervision and keep the Payroll Management Team updated of any situations that need their input or involvement.
- Conducts research to identify and resolve a high volume of pay inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that all pay-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Processes Historical Corrections and expense distribution corrections within UKG Dimensions.
- Conducts meal period and rest break audits to maintain compliance with federal and state laws and company policies, and provides recommendations for corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance and mitigate potential legal or financial risks.
- Communicates and advances issues to the supervisor or manager when their involvement is vital, providing comprehensive details and documentation as needed.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource to employees by effectively communicating payroll policies, procedures, and practices, and providing guidance and support on payroll-related matters, in a clear and concise manner.
- Comprehends and follows multiple pay structures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization and provide excellent and professional customer service when answering inquiries via phone, email or case management system.
- Discerns and captures an accurate comprehensive summary, along with all transactional details related to the resolution of or escalation of employee inquiries and document in case management system and/or all other platforms/systems.
- Proactively follows up on pending cases to keep the employee advised of the progress of their inquiries and ensures timely and satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
- Coordinates and provides careful redirection of work or cases to advanced support resources in Payroll, HR or any other department identified.
- Educates inquiring employees about tools they can use to that they can be better informed on how to handle their inquiries more independently.
- Ensures the confidentiality of all employees at all times.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Three (3) plus years of experience in human resources, payroll.
UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) experience preferred.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Associate’s degree preferred.
