What will you be doing in this role?

The Support Services Supervisor (Laundry & Linen) is responsible for providing leadership guidance and directs all work activities of Hospitality Services staff and services, which may include one or more departments. Performs routine quality control inspections and ensures quality standards are met. Ensures that on-going training and performance assessment of employees to maintain and improve employee competencies are being conducted. Creates an atmosphere of open, positive communication throughout the department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and verifies daily all managed linen staff have accurately accounted for linen distribution by means of tablet or other linen distribution accounting methodology.
  • Supervises the day-to-day work of employees, assigns work, ensures tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
  • Effectively communicates with previous lead or supervisor when beginning shift and ending shift to share pertinent operational information related to the shift.
  • Schedules and hosts departmental staff meetings monthly. Attends ongoing development and training courses as offered by company and facility.
  • Plans, leads, and directs work of staff to ensure goals and objectives are completed within established budget and deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, managing schedules, personnel actions, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
  • Monitors IPA ScrubEx platform routinely and ensures all Scrub units and units are maintained at a minimum in the "green" zone during working hours.
  • Ensures a minimum 95% fill rate of all scrubEx units is achieved at all times.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required

Work Experience:

  • Three (3) year of Linen or Housekeeping/EVS/Cleaning experience in a hospital, school or hotel setting
  • One (1) year of Direct Supervisory experience
