Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

With limited supervision, The Sr. Workplace Investigations Specialist (Senior HR Compliance Specialist) provides HR compliance services related to HR policies and procedures and equal employment opportunity requirements.

  • Promotes compliance with HR policies and procedures and equal employment opportunity requirements by leading through influence and providing investigation services to uphold HR policies and procedures. 
  • Conducts complex investigations into Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), wage-hour, Cedars-Sinai policy violations and/or other employment-related issues.
  • Conducts witness interviews, compile and review relevant documentation, analyze evidence, prepare reports and summaries, and provide appropriate recommendations and guidance to management.
  • Under the guidance of leadership, investigates and respond to government agency complaints, such as from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), Department of Labor (DOL), and Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).
  • Provide stakeholders with information about the investigatory process and applicable rights and policies.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree of Law preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Licensed Attorney in California preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in Compliance, Human Resources, Litigation and/or other legal experience required; seven years preferred.
