Job Description
The Senior Physician Outreach Specialist is responsible for the cross promotion of physicians and programs to drive market share and prevent leakage through supporting the establishment and maintenance of referral relationships within the Cedars Sinai Medical Network and regional referring partners. The incumbent will participate in the development and lead the execution of the physician outreach plans for assigned regions and/or service lines, develop targeted messaging to promote CS physicians and clinical programs, reinforce clinical engagement in the referral process and quantify efficacy of initiatives. The specialist is expected to develop strong, professional relationships with Cedars Sinai and key external partners and supports to the Medical Network business development team through the delivery of field intelligence and analytics that inform regional strategic plans. The specialist will take an active leadership role and may mentor junior staff and other specialists. They will also be responsible for the development of standard work to be implemented across the division. They will partner with Cedars-Sinai marketing in the design of supporting collateral, management of web presence, and the maintenance of physician roster and/or CRM tools. The specialist will participate in the planning and oversight of special events and outreach to employers, brokers, and other organizations, as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains relationships with physicians and healthcare providers with Cedars-Sinai and with external referring partners in assigned regions.
- Participates in the development of and implements physician outreach plans to increase referrals, prevent leakage, and improve continuity of care within Cedars-Sinai.
- Conducts market research to refine outreach strategies. Develops and performs standard work for onboarding and outreach activities for assigned providers, reinforces clinical engagement in the referral process, and is responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned metrics. Leads the implementation of the above across the division.
- Using both data analytics and through field intelligence, provides feedback to the Medical Network Business Development team on outreach efforts and helps quantify impact of outreach initiatives.
- Participates in the development of targeted messaging to educate referring providers about the quality and service of clinical programs. Delivers/partners in the delivery of presentations to providers and mentors junior staff in development and delivery.
- Partners with CS Marketing and IT in the development of collateral as well as maintenance of web presence.
- Leads CSMN’s direct-to-employer, broker and community outreach activities.
- Participates in the planning of Medical Network events within established timeline and budget.
- Maintains physician roster and/or CRM tools.
- Takes an active leadership role in the department and provides mentorship to junior staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Science or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:Four (4) years of health care experience, preferably within a health system, hospital, or medical group setting required. Education may substitute for minimum requirement.
Two (2) years of proven track record in physician relations, strategic and/or business planning, new program development and marketing, healthcare/pharmaceutical/biotech sales, or equivalent education and experience required.
