Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and checks patients prior to Imaging procedure, may assist with scheduling of patients as needed.
- Acquires patient questionnaire, chart, data/requisition and reviews all to determine contraindication of having Imaging examination.
- Verifies and validates patient screening safety form.
- Performs venipunctures, draws specimens and maintains competencies.
- Ensures patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam. Educates patients regarding Imaging procedures, equipment and exam.
- Serves as a resource/preceptor to new hires, other technologists and students.
- Administers proper contrast related to patient having Imaging exam.
- Acquires, archives, transmits and prints images via PACS. When applicable, completes after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.
- Immediately reports any malfunctions; observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems or calls for service.
- Maintains available equipment up-time. Applies knowledge of radiation physics and safety regulations to limit radiation exposure of the public, patients, fellow workers and self to as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA).
- Learns new technical information and skills.
- May be required to rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.
- Immediately reports any malfunctions; observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems or calls for service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Assoc. Degree/College Diploma Completion of course work with an accredited institution in one of the imaging modalities (ie. Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, MRI) required
Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required
- Imaging Registered Rad Tech certification with relevant accrediting body (ARRT, ARMRIT, ARDMS) required
- Imaging CA Radiologic Tech Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)- CA State License. required
- Fluoroscopy License required
Work Experience:
- 5 years minimum two years experience as an imaging technologist
- 1 year minimum one year experience in each relevant modality

Our compensation philosophy
We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
