The Groups of Dr. Omar Al-Louzi (Visual Outcomes Laboratory) and Dr. Pascal Sati (Neuroimaging Program) are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to lead multi-modal (OCT/A, MRI, PET) image analysis research projects using advanced machine learning in patients with neurological conditions.

Under the co-supervision of Drs. Al-Louzi and Sati, the Postdoctoral Scientist will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team of expert neuroimagers, neurologists, and machine learning scientists to investigate novel diagnostic and prognostic imaging biomarkers in patients with neurological diseases, including Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The incumbent will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the new Department of Computational Biomedicine to develop innovative ML methodologies for analyzing and interpreting multimodal imaging dataset (OCT/A, MRI, PET), including the design and implementation of image processing pipelines, training of cutting edge convolutional neural networks, validation and testing of deep learning models on multiple neuroimaging datasets for early identification and prognostication of neurological disorders.

The incumbent will have access to a comprehensive set of computing resources including ground breaking deep-learning workstations specifically dedicated to the Al-Louzi/Sati labs as well as the high-performance-computing (HPC) infrastructure supported by our institution.
