What will you be doing in this role?

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing; supervising and supporting required maintenance or construction. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the proper coverage for the area of responsibility. The Operations Supervisor must satisfy the requirements of the Medical Center and as directed by leadership. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the organization of work, customer satisfaction, supervisor of employees, staff development, process improvement and problem solving in the delivery of services. Efficiently interact with customers with diverse cultural backgrounds

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages, supervises and supports required maintenance or construction. Maintains the proper coverage for the area of responsibility.
  • Plans and assigns work to staff, following-up on work completion and productivity issues.
  • Satisfies the requirements of the Medical Center and as directed by leadership
  • Participates on committees such as department Policies and Procedures, Job Descriptions, Construction, and/or Hazardous Waste.
  • Facilitates the continuing training of the staff as required by regulatory agencies and as needed to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • Associates Degree/College Diploma - Preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years familiarity with the trade work of the area of responsibility. Experience with similar tasks and responsibilities.
  • Three (3) years prior supervisory or foreman's experience preferred.
  • General Maintenance skills required; preferred in a hospital setting
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics - Preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency is a requirement.
