Job Description
At Cedars-Sinai, the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute takes a specialized approach to cancer treatment. With over 20 cancer centers, programs, and specialized services, we focus on individualized care and cutting-edge research for specific types of cancer. Our centers offer patient-centered care and state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
Join our compassionate team of the nation's leading surgical oncology, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery experts. We provide advanced, personalized treatments for a wide range of surgical oncology disease sites. Our team is at the forefront of cancer research and treatment.
The Surgical Oncology and Hepatobiliary Advanced Practice Providers are integral to the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. Our practice involves evaluating, treating, and monitoring a variety of cancer diagnoses or potential cancer diagnoses, in addition to benign diseases of the liver and pancreas. Summary of Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Cancer Center.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master of Nursing Degree.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered.
Experience:
- Over one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Oncology.
- Experience with Surgical Oncology highly preferred.
Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License.
- National Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA License.
- Current (Life Support Certification – BLS, ACLS) required.

Our compensation philosophy
We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
