Nurse Practitioner (NP) - OBGYN - Full Time 8hr Days

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough care coordination for identified postpartum patients
- Offer outstanding care and support collaborating the obstetric care team
- Offer expert mentorship on postpartum care
- Supervise and handle conditions including postpartum hypertension for prevention of further risks and complications
- Work together with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide all-encompassing and synchronized care
- Access and update patient information electronically via flow-sheets to ensure flawless communication among medical teams
- Partner with healthcare professionals to supervise and handle postpartum hypertension in patients
- Work closely with patients to review and manage patient blood pressures, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with attending OBs
- Ensure patients receive timely updates through the patient portal, confirming that BP numbers are at goal requiring no treatment or if numbers are outside of goal range, ensuring proper care in collaboration with the patient’s attending OB
- Provide compassionate postpartum care, with NPs making follow-up calls to patients, responding to messages, and offering continuous support over a 14-day observation period or until discharge
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Master of Nursing Degree required)
License/Certification:
- Current, unrestricted CA RN License
- Current, unrestricted California NP/NPF license
- DEA License (schedule 2-5)
- National NP certification
- ACLS/BLS and PALS certification
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required.
- Experience working with OBGYN patients preferred.
- Nurse Practitioner experience of at least 1 year highly desirable
