What you will be doing in this role:
The Marketing Associate, Partnerships reports to the Director, Marketing Partnerships and is responsible for the day-to-day management, activation, and optimization of strategic partnerships that advance organizational, brand, and community engagement objectives. This role serves as a primary relationship manager for key sports, community, and healthcare partnerships while coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure partnership commitments are fulfilled and activation opportunities are maximized.
Working closely with the Director, Marketing Partnerships, as well as leaders across Marketing & Communications, Community Engagement, the Health Sciences University, the Medical Network, and external partner organizations, the Marketing Associate will support the execution of integrated partnership strategies, strengthen community engagement efforts, and help maximize the value of the organization's sponsorship and partnership portfolio. The role will play a key part in activating high-profile partnerships, supporting Team USA and LA28 initiatives, and fostering meaningful connections that elevate brand visibility and community impact across the Los Angeles region. Primary duties include:
- Lead the day-to-day management of strategic partnership relationships, including key professional sports partners such as the Los Angeles Rams and Angel City FC, ensuring contractual commitments are fulfilled and partnership objectives are achieved.
- Support the development and execution of partnership strategies tied to Team USA, LA28, and other priority sponsorship initiatives, collaborating with internal collaborators and external partners to maximize brand visibility, engagement, and organizational impact.
- Drive the growth and activation of community-based and grassroots partnerships, creating meaningful connections that extend the organization's reach, deepen local engagement, and support long-term brand and business objectives throughout the Los Angeles region.
- Partner with leaders across Marketing & Communications, Community Engagement, the Health Sciences University, and the Medical Network to ensure partnership initiatives align with organizational priorities and create meaningful value for key audiences.
- Lead the planning and execution of partnership activations, hospitality programs, events, and integrated marketing initiatives across the partnership portfolio.
- Manage relationships with medical network and community partners that support grassroots engagement, health education, and outreach efforts throughout the Los Angeles region.
- Lead the creative submission and approval process for Team USA, LA28, and other Olympic and Paralympic partnership initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between internal collaborators, creative teams, and external partners to ensure brand compliance and timely execution.
- Partner closely with internal creative, communications, digital, and agency teams to manage partnership deliverables, campaign timelines, creative development, collaborator feedback, and asset production in support of partnership activations and marketing initiatives.
- Develop partnership recap reports, event summaries, seasonal performance reviews, and executive presentations that communicate partnership impact, key outcomes, and opportunities for growth.
- Track partnership assets, contractual deliverables, activation commitments, and performance metrics to ensure successful execution and provide ongoing visibility into partnership value and fulfillment.
- Monitor partnership performance and provide insights and recommendations to enhance engagement, activation effectiveness, and overall partnership value.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, sports management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership marketing, sponsorships, sports marketing, brand marketing, experiential marketing, or a related field required.
- Experience managing external partnerships and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working with professional sports organizations, healthcare organizations, community organizations, nonprofit organizations, or similar groups preferred.
- Strong relationship management and partner engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience developing executive presentations, partnership recap reports, and performance summaries.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence collaborators at multiple levels of the organization.
- Experience managing creative development processes, approvals, and cross-functional project timelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of events, activations, and partnership obligations.
- Ability to travel locally throughout the Los Angeles region as required.
- Ability to attend partnership events, community activations, and meetings outside of standard business hours as needed.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.

We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
