What will you be doing in this role:

The Manager, Digital Strategy and Business Development evaluates, analyzes and develops recommendations on strategy and business opportunities for Cedars-Sinai Health System. The Manager collaborates with Health System leadership to define growth strategies and drive the strategic planning process for System leadership, clinical departments, and the Medical Network. The position is responsible for assisting in the management and facilitation of departmental projects and work teams. This position also assists in supervising System Development staff with ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency of work. 

  • Lead the development of high-impact strategies to advance Cedars-Sinai digital strategy, making meaningful contributions to initiatives, products, and workstreams from discovery to execution to growth. Includes developing project work plans, managing landmarks and due dates, effectively communicating project status with collaborators (including executive leadership), and anticipating and addressing project risks.
  • Provides digital health consulting, product, and growth strategy support to multiple initiatives, new ventures, and digital products and channels in collaboration with Consumer Digital Innovation, Marketing and Communications, Enterprise Information System (EIS), clinical, and technology transfer leadership and partners. 
  • Supports digital health business and product lifecycle, advising minimum viable product (MVP), definition, discovery, incubation, launch, and growth, in collaboration with operational, clinical, design, and technical development teams. 
  • Supports the management and ongoing improvement of the organization’s innovation funnel that identifies, prioritizes, and commercializes internal and external innovative ideas and initiatives that drive business growth and improve consumer-centric experience and care delivery models. 
  • Manages and supports the development of business models, value proposition design, market assessments, go-to-market strategy, and contracting for new digital ventures, strategic and commercial relationships, and digital products and channels in collaboration with the Consumer Digital Innovation team, and cross-functional clinical partners. 
  • Supervises Digital Strategy and Business Development staff on assigned projects; includes the provision of project assignment, scope, review and feedback on deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality and consistency.
  • Develops detailed financial analyses, including income statements, cash flow analysis, and balance sheets for new and/or existing digital initiatives, services, and technologies.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

Seven (7) plus years of experience in planning, strategy, finance, and/or business development in a healthcare organization or consulting organization providing services to the healthcare industry.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Business, or related field is preferred.
