Job Summary: Key Job Responsibilities
The Chief of Staff to the CEO supports the Cedars-Sinai CEO and Board of Directors in achieving the organization's strategic goals and involves close collaboration with the CEO, acting as a trusted advisor and confidant. In addition to leading and/or managing timelines of strategic initiatives, the Chief of Staff will oversee the administrative, financial, and operational activities of the President's Office, to achieve efficient decision-making and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation of the CEO’s strategy. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the CEO to facilitate efficient, data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborates with CEO and executive team to develop, implement and drive execution of strategic and cross-functional initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
- Completes and/or facilitates execution of high-priority tasks and special projects as they arise.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing strategic insights and guidance.
- Prioritizes executive tasks and drives key projects to completion.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the CEO and key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and information flow.
- Identifies and implements innovative solutions to complex challenges, facilitating and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Prepares agendas, materials, reports and presentations for executive and Board meetings as needed, summarizing key findings and recommendations. Leads follow-up on action items, documents decisions to establish next steps.
- Manages the operations of the President's Office, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the CEO and the organization effectively.
- Works closely with executive leaders to refine and implement performance metrics, KPIs and dashboards that align with organizational goals
- Develops frameworks and processes to improve decision-making, resource allocation and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree preferred
Work Experience
7 years experience in a senior management role required
3 years experience leading cross functional projects, or projects with broad organizational impact required
5 years healthcare industry experience preferred
