What you will be doing in this role:

This per diem Community Health project associate conducts direct outreach for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in designated communities in an effort to provide health education and build relationships with community members. Facilitates and integrates identified health programs while partnering with community organizations.

Additionally, this position includes a focus on facilitating community health activities and classes to improve senior fitness. Responsible for planning, organizing, collecting data, and coordinating fitness programs specifically designed for seniors in the identified communities. These activities and classes will aim to improve the overall fitness and well-being, decrease social isolation and promote healthy aging and active lifestyles for older adults as part of our Forever Fit community program. 


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in public health, community health, nutrition/exercise, social science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a community health setting is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking or Korean-speaking) is strongly preferred.

Skills/Experience Sought:

  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
