Cafe Attendant - The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute

Job Description

The Café Attendant works as an attendant for the café at The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute. The Attendant performs cashiering and customer assistance for café visitors as well as inventory ordering, stocking, cleaning, and organizing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Opens and close café, prepares equipment for customer usage and locks-up at end of day.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all café equipment, refrigerators, countertops, shelving and storage areas. Clean and mop minor spills as needed. Demonstrates accurate cleaning procedures in accordance with policies. Document daily cleaning and keep Cleaning Log up to date. Performs other special cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Accurately completes inventory and places orders for food, beverages and cleaning supplies. Adheres to instructions and guidelines for accurate storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Accurately operates and maintains equipment in the work area. Reports equipment malfunctions.
  • Assists customers with operation of microwave, coffee machines and other café equipment.
  • Offers customers assistance with products and seating, advise customers of new products available.
  • Collects payments via POS cashiering device and safeguards customer data.
  • Checks expiration date of all food and beverages and documents all waste.
  • Restocks and rotate food and beverages. Restock condiments and cutlery as needed.
  • Keeps food and beverages categorized by type and arranged accurately on shelves.
  • Keeps café and storage room clean, neat and organized. Keep guest tables and chairs clean and chairs pushed in when not in use.
  • Ensures hand sanitizers clean and filled- notifies facilities when refill is needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma/GED preferred.

Experience:

One (1) year of food service experience preferred. One (1) year of customer service experience preferred.

We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location.
