What you will be doing in this role:

As a member of the Community Engagement team, the Associate Program Officer (APO) will further the work of the Community Benefit Giving Office (CBGO), which is designed to centralize all community giving for Cedars-Sinai and maximize its impact across Los Angeles.

  • Provide ongoing coordination and support for all aspects of Homelessness and Housing grant portfolio.
  • Assist AD and relevant internal partners with the entire grant cycle, from exploratory conversations to application, review and approval, tracking of payment requirements and progress reporting, across the Homelessness and Housing portfolio and other initiatives as assigned.

  • Facilitate hand-off of grants requests from senior leadership and/or departmental owners (Government Relations, Research Center for Health Equity, Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital, etc.)
  • In conjunction with AD, update grant approval protocols to maintain institutional commitments while aligning with broader Cedars-Sinai priorities.
  • Alongside AD, pilot and facilitate various exploratory grant efforts with new and existing internal and external partners to better leverage CBGO resources and increase collective impact of grantmaking through non-monetary expansion of relationships.
