What you will be doing in this role:

The Associate Director, Marketing is a key member of the team responsible for setting the overall marketing strategy for the Cedars-Sinai Health Sciences University. Develops, designs, and implements marketing strategies and tactics to drive overall growth for Cedars-Sinai. Collaborates cross-functionally with internal partners to enable consistent application of the Cedars-Sinai brand and ensures seamless utilization of clinical content across channels. Establishes metrics and goals/success criteria and milestones that align with organizational goals and measures the effectiveness of marketing plans. Collaborates externally with collaborators, community-based organizations, other higher education institutions, and relevant groups to drive partnership with Cedars-Sinai through appropriate modalities. Duties include:

  • Manage all aspects of the outsourced contact center vendor relationship, ensuring contractual performance standards are met while upholding Cedars-Sinai’s institutional values and service excellence expectations.
  • Supervise internal team resources including managing the lead call center specialist.
  • Monitor and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs), operational KPIs, and workflow compliance across internal and external teams to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Lead forecasting and workforce planning efforts, developing volume-based staffing models to support access demands while balancing cost-efficiency and patient experience.
  • Standardize call center workflows to reflect internal service line processes, optimizing patient scheduling, intake, and transfer protocols.
  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the patient access experience while avoiding redundant functions.
  • Leverage data analytics to track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including call volume, handle time, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, and eventually customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain effective dashboards and reporting tools for senior leadership to monitor trends and make informed decisions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices in patient access, contact center operations, and healthcare consumerism.
  • Serve as the primary point of leadership escalation for sensitive or high-impact issues, coordinating across patient relations, risk management, and executive leadership as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is required. 
  • A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience in a large, complex organization required, preferably in a healthcare marketing setting.
