Job Description

What will I be doing in this role?

The Administrator will develop, establish, and monitor department processes and procedures to ensure high level services while maintaining productivity standards. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership in all areas of academics and will develop, assess, and anticipate onboarding related needs and deliver value added service that addresses the needs and initiatives of the organization. Additionally, the role will create and foster partnerships across all service lines and departments within Cedars-Sinai to ensure faculty clinical and research onboarding deliverables are addressed in a timely and thorough matter. 

  • Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments and external agencies, to oversee faculty onboarding. Provides guidance, resolves issues, and implements solutions.
  • Develops leadership presence and credibility at the department level, effectively influencing change management.
  • Collaborates with leaders to identify faculty onboarding gaps, propose changes, and facilitate necessary processes for successful onboarding and retention.
  • Provides regular updates to departments and leaders, notifying them of any process changes. Manages complex onboarding tasks across multiple units.
  • Evaluates operational trends and metrics, offering consultation on improvement measures and solutions.
  • Advises Academic Search leadership on onboarding processes, addressing institutional changes impacting department operations and new hire satisfaction.
  • Leads and evaluates new faculty onboarding, manages credentialing processes, and resolves issues in real-time for a positive onboarding experience.
  • Implements initiatives to enhance recruitment, onboarding, and retention, such as spousal programs and relocation services.
  • Coordinates communications between hiring departments, new faculty, and medical staff offices, ensuring smooth onboarding processes.
  • Manages data tracking and reporting for new faculty onboarding metrics, generating monthly reports, and recommending departmental improvements.
  • Collaborates with HR teams to share best practices and participate in HR initiatives.
  • Develops communication templates and onboarding materials tailored to new hires and client groups.
  • Manages contract reviews and facilitates HR onboarding requirements, including student loan repayment programs and sign-on bonuses.
  • Facilitates new faculty research transition and engages departments to support research needs.
  • Oversees onboarding workflow processes and adjusts as needed in collaboration with departments.
  • Maintains professional relationships with stakeholders involved in the onboarding process.
  • Leads internal onboarding meetings and provides education and development support to HR colleagues, managers, and employees.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fields is preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in Human Resources including coordination of faculty and/or executive level recruitment/onboarding.
