The Float Pool is a high-level performing department staffed with healthcare professionals who are equipped to work in different units in the hospital. These highly trained professionals support the organization by having the ability to care for multiple specialty patient populations.
Embark on a journey of professional growth and diverse experiences with us! Join Cedars Sinai’s Float Pool now and after 12 months you will be eligible to apply for cross-training, if accepted you will be cross trained with other specialties, which include ICU, ED, and Pediatrics. To qualify for cross training, you will need to obtain a PALS, NRP and BLS certificate before you apply. Cross training will allow you to get exposure to many different clinical areas while making a positive impact on the lives of a diverse patient population?

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- California RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Certificates by ARC or AHA are required for certain units
- Specialty certification required
- Experience within two (2) or more specialty areas, at least one (1) of which will be ICU or the Emergency Department required.
- One (1) year Charge Nurse experience in specialty area required.
- One (1) year Float Pool experience preferred.
- Current employees are required to be a Clinical Nurse III for at least 1 year in order to be considered.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
