The Manager, MN Business Development is responsible for the development and execution of regional/service line growth strategies across the Cedars Sinai Medical Foundation as defined by the Cedars Sinai Health System strategic growth plan. This role involves crafting the activities for the cross promotion of physicians and programs to drive market share and prevent leakage. This includes participating in the development of Medical Network strategic plans through the analysis of market trends and intelligence to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation. The leader will also use multiple data sources across the health system to inform demand for clinical programs and design targeted outreach plans and tactics to grow those programs and foster strong referral relationships within Cedars-Sinai, external referring partners, community members and industry partners. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, physician recruitment, finance, and strategic integration to drive the successful execution of medical network business development and growth initiatives. Will be responsible for advising, supervising, and developing staff in the department and has oversight of regional department budgets. Success in this role demands outstanding analytical skills, drawing practical conclusions and recommendations and collaborating with a wide array of constituents.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has primary oversight of regional and service line business development and market research activities and in partnership with service line executive directors, is responsible for the efforts to grow the medical network, prevent leakage, and drive market share across assigned clinical programs.
- Provides direction, supervises day-to-day activities and is responsible for the professional development of MN Business Development staff, including developing targets and driving performance against measurable goals.
- Uses external and internal data sources to implement sophisticated analyses to inform demand for services across the medical network and participate in the development of regional/service line strategic planning.
- Partners with Finance and Physician Recruitment in development of new physician recruitment plans including development and articulation of strategic rationale and ROI.
- Promotes affiliates and generates new business growth against strategic plans through the general oversight of tactical outreach plans, including the identification of targets, processes to manage referral relationships, oversight of tools (IE CRM), and development of regular reporting on outcomes and ROI.
- Maintains positive relationships with Cedars-Sinai and external referring providers and communications to advance the position and growth of CSMN physician alignment opportunities in those markets.
- Leads CSMN’s direct-to-employer, broker and community outreach strategy in all target markets to develop new relationships and enrollment opportunities.
- As a subject matter expert, leads comprehensive work plans for all medical network special events including established timeline and budget.
- Partners the development of CSMN’s population health strategy in new markets through identifying and supporting the build of a high-quality primary and senior care network.
- Partners with Marketing and EIS department in the build and execution of plans to promote clinical programs and online physician presence.
- Develops the departmental budget for review/approval by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Science or related discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
Five (5) years of Health care experience, preferably within a health system, hospital, or medical group setting required.
Three (3) years of proven track record in physician recruitment and relations, strategic and/or business planning, new program development and marketing or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Two (2) years of experience at a Big 4, strategy or other boutique healthcare consultancy preferred.
Two (2) years of experience managing teams or direct reports preferred.

We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
