What will you be doing:
The Credentialing Liaison is responsible for providing routine guidance/input to affiliated entities on the credentialing process to ensure the seamless and timely flow of information in order to meet deadlines. You will be the primary point of contact for all affiliated entities during the credentialing process, while also serving as a liaison for the affiliated entities, credentialing team, multiple departments and facility management. Delivers excellent customer service and multitasks to complete a range of administrative tasks within the technical platforms used by the organization. The Credentialing Liaison works cooperatively with the Credentialing Coordinator, Credentialing Control Analyst, and Management Team to ensure accurate communication of credentialing related information regarding appointment and reappointment is provided to the applicant.
- Ensures the completion of the credentialing process for affiliated entity applicants including but not limited to: provides an introduction and overview for all initial and reappointment applicants; sets credentialing process expectations for applicants; provides timely and professional communications regarding application status; seeks timely solutions to each inquiry, concern, and/or issues and completes all follow-up tasks and activities necessary to guarantee a timely resolution.
- Identifies and advances significant issues for management intervention.
- Coordinates with credentialing team to ensure submitted documentation is processed accurately and timely to maintain operational workflow.
- Cultivates and maintains strong customer relationships and rapport with applicants, multiple departments, and facility management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with the organization’s data privacy requirements to protect the personal information of applicants.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintains and updates customer service tracking tool and credentialing software system.
- Participates in process improvement projects related to customer happiness.
- Liaises and facilitates technical support for practitioners experiencing difficulties during the credentialing process from applicant stage forward (includes Cedars-Sinai Network Access, Email, EMR Access, Lawson Profile, Password resets, etc.)
- Performs related functions for the department, as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Three (3) plus years’ experience as general administrative experience supporting a dept and/or unit.
Four (4) plus years of customer service center or call center experience preferred.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor degree in Business/Healthcare Administration, Communication Studies, or related field. (preferred)
