What's this role all about?

As a full time Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting.

  • Perform evaluations
  • Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies
  • Complete discharge planning for patients
  • Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow exams and video swallow evaluations
  • Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, databases, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited SLP program - Masters minimum

License/Certification Requirements:

  • Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

What else are we looking for?

  • Minimum of one year experience in an acute care setting that includes clinical swallowing evaluations, modified barium swallow evaluations, speaking valve evaluations. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.
