Job Description
Beverly Pathology is an independently contracted private pathology Group, in the Cedars-Sinai Health System's Foundation, providing exclusive Pathology services to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The successful candidate will be recruited by Beverly Pathology to join our experienced team. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center faculty are strongly committed to graduate medical education and research. Faculty members also participate broadly in both departmental/institutional committees as well as tumor board presentations.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a 1022-bed quaternary medical care facility and Level 1 trauma center located at the junction of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and is the largest private not-for-profit provider of health care on the West Coast, serving more than 9 million people in Los Angeles County.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a full-time academic position as the Residency Program Director. This long-term position is designed to enhance our educational mission and lead the residency training program in pathology, aligning with the clinical and academic goals of one of the largest quaternary care hospitals in the United States. The program director will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty across the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a nonprofit academic healthcare organization serving the diverse Los Angeles community and beyond. As future curriculum development will heavily rely on digital pathology and computer-based learning tools, a strong background and/or fellowship in Pathology informatics is highly desirable.
This successful person hired in this role will perform roughly 70% Clinical Research duties and 30% Program Director duties and responsibilities
Qualifications
Requirements and Qualifications:
- AP/CP board certification required, with at least 3 years of experience in an Academic Medical Center.
- Active California Medical License required.
- Subspecialty board certification or fellowship training in a clinical specialty required.
- At least one year of experience as Residency Program Director or Associate Director.
- Expertise in informatics tools is highly desirable.
- U.S Citizenship or Residency is required. There is no visa sponsorship for this role.
