The Project Manager manages assigned projects from initiation to delivery, including project definition, assignment of responsibilities, organizing project teams, setting deadlines, and monitoring expenses. This position manages all or most phases of the project and resources, using industry standard project management tools and techniques. Ensures that all phases of the project are completed per project timeline and budget. In collaboration with key collaborators this role identifies and resolves obstacles to completing projects on time and within budget. In this role you:
- Work with all key partners to manage the deployment and completion of all aspects and stages of the project assigned. Organize project teams, assign responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine resource requirements. Ensure requirements are managed and delivered per project timeline and identify and mitigates potential risks for implementation. Partners with leadership to assess, track and resolve risks.
- Develops and documents plans that ensure all necessary preparation, execution tasks and dependencies are identified and included. Ensures that necessary resources and skills are allocated for project success. Assesses needs, evaluates solutions, makes recommendations, and advances to senior leaders/key partners, if needed.
- Responsible for the oversight of functional project team, including partnering closely with subject matter experts to help gather, assess and track project deliverables. Holds project teams accountable for project deliverables, resolves issues and conflicts, and calls out resource or budget issues.
- Provides cross-functional solution direction and guidance, including aiding in resolving any conflicting project decisions. Discusses business case scenarios, presents to senior management and guides team(s) on implementing the best solution through consensus building.
- Operates as a full cross-functional leader/member of the project team by supporting project leadership and other team members with resolving obstacles, ensuring collaboration between teams, and providing project updates and communication.
- Creates and/or reviews project communications and updates with all collaborators, in partnership with project leadership. Ensures an effective change management strategy is developed and implemented.
- May be responsible for managing budget, costing, timing and other resources including vendor management, staffing and/or deliverables to ensure utilization within the project guidelines.
- Implements later phase solutions, if applicable.
Department specific responsibilities include:
Serves as a key point of contact for clients within Latin America (LATAM) and the Middle East, responsible for successfully promoting the use of Cedars-Sinai to international referring entities and assists in developing identified affiliations, educational, or collaborative efforts in our global portfolio, as directed.
Leads communication and take initiatives in building relationships both internally with key collaborators from different levels within Cedars-Sinai Health System and externally with Global Services clients, specifically in LATAM and the Middle East markets. Effectively aligns and sets international clients' expectations with feasible and creative solutions when managing global advisory/consulting services delivery. Makes recommendations for improvements, taking full ownership over assignments.
Conducts key client communications and videoconferencing with flexibility and willingness to occasionally work outside normal hours, including early mornings, nights, and occasional weekends, to coincide with regular business hours in other international markets.
Develops detailed analyses for new and/or existing global services programs, education opportunities, services, and healthcare marketing research in LATAM and the Middle East. Identifies and retrieves data and converts into information required to make decisions on new business development or operational opportunities.
Manages and coordinates timelines, schedules, logistics, communications, and arrangements for successful on-site services delivery, both in Cedars-Sinai Health System and international project sites.
Develops and manages in a timely manner a comprehensive service record to track all client related activities including online conferences, international travels, workshops, observerships, and other online and offline deliverables.
Creates or reviews communications/presentations in support of implementation of projects or generating business. Conducts client and market research and assemble materials.
This is a full-time benefited role that is anticipated to run through June 30, 2025.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration or a related major preferred.
- PMP preferred.
- 5 years Program or Project Management, Project support and/or leadership experience required. Demonstrated cultural competence in working with Latin American and Middle Eastern patients and medical experience highly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish or Arabic (written and spoken) preferred.
