Job Description
The Patient Liaison provides efficient, personalized, high-level services to patients to facilitate access to all institutional clinical services and ensure a positive patient/client experience. Serves as a designated patient and client navigator, ensuring timely access to services and providing information and resources to constituents of the program(s). Stay current on Cedars-Sinai specialty services and provides that information to the patient, assists with medical record requests, paperwork, appointment/test/procedure scheduling and follow-up, and provides value-added personalized high touch services to ensure patient and client satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Serves as liaison between Cedars-Sinai specialty programs, patients, clients, and vendors.
- Manages the care journey for patients, including but not limited to, ensuring patients receive copies of medical reports, physician instructions, follow-up appointments etc.
- Provides patients with details on their care plans, ensures timely scheduling of clinical appointments and arranges for all services that support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric care.
- Partners with CS International in serving international patient needs.
- Coordinates with health plans, clients, and patients, to ensure appropriate coverage and authorization for rendered services.
- Collaborates with clinical team members to ensure the efficient patient experience.
- Maintains solid understanding of operational workflows and provides coverage when needed.
- Ensures that financial information is collected. Ensures that all patient and client questions, comments, concerns are answered.
- Scheduling appointments, follow-ups, surgeries, second opinions, labs and imaging for patients with appropriate doctors. Maintaining healthy relationships with physician offices so emergency appointments/requests can be handled in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma/GED preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience functioning in a concierge/liaison role or equivalent preferred. Three (3) of experience working in a health system preferred.
