Job Description
This role requires availability for two (2) days per week from 9:30am – 1:30pm, with work taking place at two (2) locations: San Fernando Valley and Central LA.
What will you be doing:
The Mental Health Clinician Per Diem will provide support to high school students who are pregnant and may be at risk of school failure. The Clinician will provide individual, group and family support through psychoeducation on topics that include mental health, trauma awareness, social skills, conflict mediation, grief, drug prevention, parenting, postpartum and other socio-emotional issues that impact learning. The Clinician will work on two different school campuses. This role will work in collaboration with the LAUSD school staff and community resources to address student/family needs and provide community referrals and linkages as needed.
- School-Based program working with pregnant teens.
- Provide short term clinical intervention individuals, groups, and families.
- Provide workshops and implement curriculum, programs, services that will meet the needs of teen parents.
- Develop programs and services which addresses the needs of at-risk students and pregnant teens.
- Provide teachers and parents the opportunity for consultation regarding students’ academic and/or socio-emotional behaviors.
- Provides referrals and linkage as needed.

Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
- Two (2) plus years of post-licensure experience doing psychotherapy, preferably in a community mental health or school-based setting.
- Bilingual Spanish and English speaking preferred.
- Experience in clinical supervision and training.
Educational/License Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work (MSW), or related field from an accredited University.
- Licensed MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) and/or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
The designated hourly rate for this position has been set at a competitive $39/hour, reflecting the value and expertise we seek in candidates for this role.
