The Cedars‑Sinai Share & Care program provides services to at‑risk children and adolescents. The program started in 1981 as the Psychological Trauma Center, and our professional counselors provide services to students who are experiencing emotional and academic challenges due to traumatic situations and stressors. Share & Care provides a group structure to facilitate emotional nurturing, healthy self‑esteem and positive coping skills through a 12‑week art therapy curriculum that can result in academic success.
What will you be doing:
The Share & Care Clinician is responsible for providing mental health prevention, early intervention, and crisis services within the school setting. The Clinician develops partnerships with the administration and educational staff at school sites. The Clinician provides a full range of services consisting of assessment, group therapy, individual and family therapy when appropriate. Parent education and support groups plus teacher trainings. Participates in team meetings and planning. Maintains competency and skills including the ability to provide care to special population with diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environment.
- School-Based program for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Provide mental health services to individuals and groups.
- Document interventions according to regulatory requirements and standards.
- Keep all documentation current and complete for all patients in caseload.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Two (2) plus years of post-licensure experience providing mental services. (preferably in a community mental health setting or school-based setting)
Bilingual Spanish and English speaking preferred.
Educational/License Requirements:
Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field from an accredited University.
Licensed in Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and/or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
