We're looking for someone to join our team as a Clinical Partner (CP)/ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)!

As a CP/CNA for 6NW, our 32 Bed dynamic progressive care surgical stepdown unit, you will care for post lung, liver, kidney transplant patients or those patients who have undergone other surgical procedures.

  • You will perform a variety of direct patient care activities or tasks specific to the unit/needs of the patient population under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • you will provide for the safety of patients, families and significant others. Reduce the risk of health care acquired infection by staying in compliance with current CDC hand washing guidelines and CSMC isolation policy.
  • You will maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, recording intake and output and dispensing/retrieving patient care supplies.
  • You will report abnormal vital signs to the charge or primary RN and accurately document in electronic medical records.
  • You will assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or college diploma preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

  • Valid CA CNA certification required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) Approved by the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.

Experience:

  • One year of previous CNA experience in an acute care facility, (hospital or medical center strongly preferred) or long-term-care hospital (convalescent, skilled nurse facility or physical rehabilitation center) preferred.
