Principal Responsibilities:- Demonstrates clinical competency and technical skills as Sonographer
- Uses appropriate techniques with ultrasound equipment to supply diagnostic studies based upon physician request.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment for diagnosis
- Demonstrate capability to provide high quality imaging
- Maintains knowledge about advanced imaging features to support enhanced capturing of data
- Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
- Ability to review a physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performed
- Acts as a role model in providing care; assists in Precepting Cardio Sonographers I.
- Retrieves studies from PACS for review
- Performs appropriate infection control processes
- Provides an environment of care that supports patient safety
- Addresses patient informative needs as pertains to requested studies
- Prepares patients for the study
- Supports IAC Standards and Guidelines
- Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports
Qualifications
Education:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is required.
Work Experience:
- 2 years of experience performing echocardiographic studies required
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is required.

Our compensation philosophy
We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location. Our range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge/skills: relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.
