Job Summary: Key Job Responsibilities
The Vice President, Revenue Cycle plans and directs all aspects of Health Information Governance and Privacy, Coding Services, Clinical Documentation Integrity, Revenue Integrity, Charge Capture and Compliance for the Cedars-Sinai Health System and designated affiliates. Aligned with compliance and governing regulations, this position ensures most appropriate and optimal revenue, diagnosis, procedure, and quality information capture across all patient encounters.
This executive leader has operational oversight of Coding – Professional and Facility, HIM – Information Governance and Privacy, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), Revenue Integrity, Charge master (CDM), Coding Quality Audit units and leads Cedars Sinai's pricing strategies, provider coding education programs, documentation integrity and related payer denial prevention, contract/payor compliance activities, privacy monitoring any associated reporting, clinical information capture and release and external user system access.
The Vice President works closely with the health system's revenue cycle, finance, technology and clinical teams, and is accountable for effectively setting health system policy within scope of responsibility, organizing efficient work processes; demonstrating leadership skills to select, motivate, develop, evaluate, recognize and retain competent and caring personnel; and demonstrating interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management or related healthcare field
Master's Degree Business, healthcare administration or related field
Licenses:
Registered Health Info Admin AHMA
Experience:
10 years Progressive healthcare revenue cycle management experience
5 years Leading middle/upper-level management teams
5 years EPIC system use/experience including financial (billing – HB/PB) and clinical documentation (EHR) functionalities
5 years Coding/Nomenclature experience
Physical Demands:

Sit at a desk or table with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects.
Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.
