If you aren't involved in the hiring decision and aren't in the Talent Acquisition department, you could be eligible for a referral bonus up to $20,000. $20,000 time-limited bonus for these positions if your referral starts on or before December 31, 2024:

  • Registered Nurses hired into our Emergency Department, ICU, and Float Pool

$15,000 time-limited bonus for these positions if your referral starts on or before December 31, 2024:

  • Registered Nurses in our Operating Rooms

$10,000 time-limited bonus for these positions if your referral starts on or before December 31, 2024:

  • Registered Nurses in our Medical Surgical/Telemetry Units Night Shift

$7,500 limited time-limited bonus for these positions if your referral starts on or before December 31, 2024:

  • Registered Nurses in our PACU
  • Registered Nurses in our Medical Surgical/Telemetry Units Day Shift

Program Guidelines

  • Human Resources, in conjunction with management, may alter or change the positions included in both the Employee-referral Program at any time.
  • Human Resources will have the final authority over all aspects of this program. Any aspect of this program is not subject to conflict resolution or grievance.
  • All referral bonus payments are contingent on the successful completion of all required orientations.
  • All Employee-referral Bonuses will be paid via a separate check and taxed at the applicable rates.
  • Employee-referral Bonuses are not retroactive and will not be paid retroactively for positions hired.
  • The submission by the referring employee must be no earlier than 90 days before the referral is hired.
  • Submissions for full-time and part-time hires are accepted up to and including 90 days after the referral is hired.
  • Additionally, we accept submissions for a 50% pay-out from 91 days to 120 days after full-time or part-time referrals are hired.
  • Only one submission per hire will be accepted. In the case of multiple submissions, HR will first consult any information in the new employee's job application and will then use the timestamp on the employee-referral forms to determine which one will receive the bonus.

Eligibility

  • Only hires into full-time or part-time positions are eligible for the Employee-referral Program. Part-time referral bonuses will be prorated. Per-diem vacancies are not eligible for the Employee-referral Program.
  • Any employee in full-time, part-time, or per-diem status may submit for an Employee-referral Bonus.
  • Employees may submit referrals for travel nurses that convert to full or part-time positions after 6 months has passed from last day worked.
  • Referrals for the Registered Nurse Internship, Registered Nurse New Grad and all other nurse training only qualify for Veterans bonus program. They do not qualify for any other referral programs.
  • Candidates must be referred by a current Cedars-Sinai employee.
  • Candidates cannot be current employees of Cedars-Sinai or have been employed by Cedars-Sinai in the past 6 months.
  • Both the referring employee and the hired referral must be active employees at the time the bonuses are paid.
  • Only Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital employees are eligible for participation in the program. Human Resources Talent Acquisition staff, interviewers, and attending physicians are not eligible
  • The referring employee may not be a party to the hiring decision, nor may they be in the management hierarchy for the new employee.

Payout information

  • The Veteran’s Bonus does not combine with other referral bonuses. Employees will receive the greater of whichever referral bonus they are eligible for.
  • Please allow 6-8 weeks after submitting to payroll for check processing. 
  • Payments will only be made to current employees.
  • Referral bonuses of $1500 or less will be submitted to payroll after 30 days of employment.
  • Referral bonuses above $1500:
    • The first 25% of the payment will be submitted to payroll after 3 months of employment.
    • The second 25% of the payment will be submitted to payroll after 6 months of employment.
    • The final and third payment will be submitted to payroll after 12 months of employment.
    • The first payment of $1000+ will be submitted to payroll upon 30 days of employment.
    • And the balance will be submitted to payroll after 1 year of employment.
