The Institute unites 16 centers and programs to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of heart and vascular conditions for all patients, from infants to those with advanced disease. Compassionate care is integrated with an agile research enterprise, giving patients access to groundbreaking treatments.

Summary of Essential Duties:
- As a Clinical Nurse II you will perform a variety of direct patient care activities specific to the unit and needs of the Pediatric patient population
- Perform patient assessments, triage patient concerns, provide clinical education to patients for pre-ops and other disease management education
- Manage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and maintain overall management of the ambulatory cardiac clinic with over 20 providers daily
- Obtain prior authorizations
- Triage phone calls from patients, pharmacies and other providers
- Identify the ability of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow instructions, as well as safety concerns in the age-related populations
- Institute additional measures to provide a safe environment
