Project Manager - Practice Transformation
Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects and acting as the project leader/facilitator, encouraging inter-departmental teamwork, provides education, evaluates optional solutions, ensures follow-through and adherence to timelines, and effectively achieves agreed upon project goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Manages and takes ownership for the full scope of the implementation of assigned projects throughout the project life cycle using accepted project management principles.
- Assists in defining, developing and implementing plans for improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participates in the best standard methodology development, testing and training as needed.
- Conducts meetings with staff, other departments and key collaborators to ensure consensus for the project.
- Ensures smooth transition from project and solution definition to project delivery.
- Documents and Analyzes business flows and recommends change.
- Works with interdisciplinary departments on process change activities and to implement strategies to resolve system issues.
- Assumes ownership of customer relationships and follows issues through to closure.
- Manages documents for implementation, project schedule, weekly status reports.
- Completes focused reviews and special reports as requested.
- Prepares agendas for meetings, facilitates meeting and communicates next steps clearly and accurately to collaborators. Documents items to completion.
- Leads proactive change management initiatives to facilitate and support the efficacy of projects, providing clear messaging for the change benefit and helping to improve the coalition for change.
- Presents information in group forums to leadership and collaborators on project status, progress, plan for completion.
- Gathers and analyzes data for accuracy and draws meaningful conclusions relevant to the project. Creates clear visuals that communicate and engage team in the data.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma required. Associate degree/College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business or Technical field preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) years of Project Management experience or completion of Cedar-Sinai recognized project management course within first year of employment required.
Two (2) years of experience in Healthcare Management or supervisory leadership experience required.
